Hi Sajha users,

I m in OPT right now and trying my best to land a job. However there are not good responses as of now. With the new rule to get a job within 3 months after OPT start date, joining a consulting Co.has become the ultimate choice for international students like us.I found even the consulting companies are reluctant to file H1b for all its employees as they also have to go through legal scrutiny. Some of them do not pay on the bench and have heard many students have been unemployed for months. My concern is while filing OPT extension or h1b, does USCIS check all these things- including employment history, tax file, pay rate etc? Is the denial of OPT extension/h1b due to the inconsistencies in these records???Could anyone explain me more about this?

Thanks.
